Overview
About Aliso Viejo
Located in the Hills of San Joaquin, Aliso Viejo is an inland Orange County suburb with a modest—but growing—population of approximately 52,000 people. Aliso Viejo became Orange County’s 34th city on July 1, 2001, making it the newest city in the OC and the only city to be incorporated since 2000. This up-and-coming locale is quickly becoming a favorite with families drawn by affordable housing, quiet neighborhoods, and low crime rates.
Aliso Viejo was named one of the safest areas in California and was among the top 10 safest cities in America. In addition, Aliso Viejo has a lot of outdoor activities and amenities that give you the chance to enjoy the great weather. Grand Park boasts stunning views, a playground for kids, picnic tables and grills, and fun summer outdoor events at the amphitheater. If you want to get closer to nature, Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park is a great choice for hiking among the picturesque mountain peaks.
